Whakatāne S D A School is an integrated Christian school, educating students from Year 1 to Year 8.

We are a two teacher school located in Whakatāne township. Our special character is underpinned by the principles, values and beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Who Operates the School?

The school is governed by the Board of Trustees; made up of three Proprietor representatives, four parent representatives and two staff members. The Whakatāne Seventh-day Adventist School is also a member of the New Zealand Seventh-day Adventist Schools Association. This body is the School Proprietor and is part of the New Zealand Pacific Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, based in Manukau City, Auckland. The special character of our school, its Bible based curriculum and staffing needs are overseen by this body. The special character of the school wholeheartedly supports a Bible-based life view and its values. It upholds the Christian lifestyle of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
